DTI Signs Key
Agreement With Telkom South Africa
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS
WIRE)--Oct. 9, 2001--Dial-Thru International Corp. (OTCBB:DTIX) today
announced the signing of an agreement with Telkom SA Limited (Telkom SA)
to jointly provide telecommunications services between South Africa and
the United States.
The International backbone will consist of fiber optic facilities provided
by Telkom and Global Crossing (Nasdaq:GX - news), which will provide for
end-to-end toll quality data, fax, and voice communications over the
Internet Protocol (IP).
John Jenkins, president and CEO, stated: ``This is the most significant
agreement we have entered into in Dial-Thru's history. Telkom SA, with
their access to the African Carriers, opens an enormous market to us, and
we expect to fulfill the significant demand between the U.S. and South
